Atomic Bent Chetler 120 Review
The powder ski no one can stop talking about:
This ski has become a standard in the powder ski category. This ski has been around for over a decade and there is a good reason why. I am currently on a pair for the 2020-2021 season With a pair of Look Pivot 15s. however the construction and profile of this ski has been unchanged for some time now.
This ski is a 120 underfoot as its name implies. This is a true powder ski however I have seen people rip it on some hard pack days just fine due to its versatility and camber profile.
Why almost anyone who gets on this ski loves it:
This ski is lightweight and very easy to pivot and turn. The reason that is, is because it has lots of rocker in the front and in the back of the ski. The ski is very centered, the recommended mount point on this ski is 2.9 CM back from true center. That means that this ski likes a skier who has a good upright posture. The skier with that posture will be able to get this ski to swivel and pivot on a dime. It is a 120 so it floats very well but in addition to that you have Atomic’s Horizon Tech on the tips and the tails which lower the swing weight of the ski and also allow for more of a surf feel and less of a plow feel as you are going through powder. This ski has a 19 meter turn radius which means that it is able to have a quicker carve and turn then other powder skis in the same width. This ski has a good camber profile underfoot which makes it bite the snow just hard enough that you can still have a good time on this ski even if you don't have 8 inches of new snow. It also gives it just enough pop to feel lively and energetic on any turn. This ski is also a lighter ski. It is coming in at 1800 grams or 3.96 pounds per ski. In the air it felt like I just had my ski boots on and it was easy to control and handle in the air and in deep snow. Most of the weight of this ski is under your foot and that is why it feels so light when you are clicked in. Overall this is a fantastic ski for anyone who likes to be centered on their ski and is looking for a true powder ski that can hold its own in any smooth and soft condition.

Binding recommendations
Look Pivot 15: adds a little more weight to keep it stable in chop while keeping the binding mount footprint small.
Atomic Shift: Great 50/50 binding if you are thinking about a setup that can do it all.
Atomic Strive: Great light weight, low profile binding that will give you a great feel for the ski.
